ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Yuliana Ortiz Ruano (Limones, 1992) is an Ecuadorian writer. Among the awards she has obtained is the Joaquín Gallegos Lara Prize for the best novel of the year, which she won in 2022 for her Fiebre de carnaval. In her works explores, among other topics, the traditions and reality of the Afro-Ecuadorian population.
